A Gramophone Podcast: Ian Page
Ian Page, founder and Artistic Director of Classical Opera, talks about Mozart, the classical era and his musical plans for the summer

With a new recording of concert arias with the soprano Sophie Bevan just out from Signum, concert performances of Mozart’s Apollo and Hyacinthus in Birmingham and London, and another recording – Mozart’s Il sogno di Scipione – due this autumn, Ian Page and his Classical Opera are busy. Gramophone’s James Jolly met the conductor to talk about Mozart 250, a year-by-year survey of Mozart’s life, times and work, that will take them long into the future, the composers of the classical period and what authenticity means.
